Club Finder
Basketball clubs up and down the country are playing week in week out in local, regional and national competitions, catering for beginners through to those on the talent pathway and getting ready to play for their country. There’s no pressure to play in games straight away, so why not get in touch with your local club and start training this week?
Slam Jam
We know that children see the world differently and that’s why we’ve created Slam Jam – a child’s version of basketball, designed to introduce 7-11-year-olds to the game and to help them fall in love with basketball. Slam Jam helps to build physical literacy and supports the KS2 PE Curriculum, so it is great for kids as well as being great for schools and clubs too.
We’re currently working to train partners to start delivering Slam Jam, but in the meantime you can find more information on Slam Jam below.
Jr. NBA
Jr. NBA is an exciting secondary schools competition run by Basketball England and the NBA for Year 7 and Year 8 players. There are 16 leagues around the country, with “Girls Only” leagues for London Y7, London Y8 and North West Year 7/8 combined. The other 13 leagues are all mixed gender leagues, so even if you don’t live in London or the North West, there is an opportunity to play near you.
Dynamik National Schools
Dynamik National Schools is the national schools competition for the way up to Under 19 for both girls and boys. This gives every age group in secondary school the chance to compete outside of their normal PE classes. The finals are usually held in March and May where the final teams battle it out to be crowned the Dynamik National Schools Champions!
We have also linked with the Youth Sports Trust’s School Games who have helped us put on county and school events to give lots of opportunities for people in education the chance to have game competition experience.
