INTRODUCTION
This course is aimed at those who have an interest in refereeing the 3x3 format of the game. This course gives an introduction to the general rules of the game and provides the learner with the education required to referee 3x3 games.
Expected duration: 3 hours. Candidates have 12 months from sign-up to complete all elements of the course.
Prerequisites: A Basketball England member, and have some basketball knowledge or be a Level 1 5v5 Referee
Recommended minimum age: 16 years
Once you have signed up, candidates will receive access to the online learning by the end of the next working day.
You will need access to a laptop, computer or smart device to complete the online modules and theory exam.
The course consists of online learning modules which you can complete in your own time.

THEORY EXAMINATION
There is an online theory examination with 20 Yes/No questions where you are required to achieve a 70% to be deemed competent. You are able to resit the examination should you not reach the required pass mark.
Upon completion of the online modules and passing the theory examination you will be qualified and receive an e-certificate. You will also receive a 3x3 Referee Shirt!
You will be required to license before you officiate. For information on how to license, please click here. Once you have completed the 6 steps, Basketball England will send you an emailing confirming you are licensed.
