Cardiff Met Archers picked up their first win in the WBBL Championship this season after beating Essex Blades 67-73 on the road. Beth Jones top scored for Cardiff with 16 points off the bench, while Cat Lutz and Jessy Ward had 22 points apiece for the Blades, who drop to 0-3.
For the second week in a row, Sevenoaks Suns came out on top in an unbeaten battle as they ended the 100% record of Manchester Mystics with a hard-fought 61-65 success away from home. Judit Fritz had 16 points in the win with Jess Good putting up 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Nottingham Wildcats secured a thrilling 73-75 victory away at Caledonia Pride, on Sunday, after an unbelievable finish. Chelsey Shumpert had the final say with the game-winner to finish with 32 points with Jasmine Joyner adding 19 points, 13 boards and five blocks to help the Wildcats move to 3-1.
Leicester Riders picked up their second win as they defeated BA London Lions 73-57 behind 27 points from Dee Hayward for a comfortable home success with Claire Paxton adding 18 points and 10 rebounds.
"We did a good job following the defensive game plan today," said head coach Jesper Sundberg.
"Offensively we improved our transition offence from last weekend. Overall a good team effort and a positive result."
Meanwhile, Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters ran away to a dominant 108-68 win at home to Durham Palatinates, on Saturday. Alison Gorrell produced a stellar performance with 24 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and four steals with Helen Naylor top scoring with 26 points.
All five starters hit double figures including Sarah Toeaina who finished with 8 of 11 shooting for her 22 points in the win.
Caledonia had doubled their league win tally before defeat to the Wildcats as they recorded a 66-59 success over Oaklands Wolves as Hannah Robb, Alix Henderson and Kai-Brith Kalda all had 10 points.
