The first team to make it to the 2019 Basketball Cup Finals was confirmed this weekend, while every team now has at least one win in the WBBL Championship.
Westfield Health Sheffield will have the chance to win the WBBL Cup title for the first time after they defeated Manchester Mystics 63-93 in the Semi-Finals. Sarah Toeaina fired in 27 points with Luiana Livulo close behind with 25, whilst also coming up with a huge six rejections.
"We're so humbled and excited to play in the Cup Finals as it's the club's first appearance," said Toeaina.
"It's great seeing the hard work we put in during our practices come to past. We compete every time we step foot on the court and push each other to get better."
Oaklands Wolves picked up their first league win of the season at the ninth attempt after powering past Essex Rebels for a 62-43 success. Lizzy Harrison and Tia Freeman combined for 34 points for the hosts as they join the Rebels on 1-8 to get themselves off the mark.
Sevenoaks Suns re-gained top spot in the WBBL Championship after moving to 8-0 with an 89-42 win over Caledonia Pride behind 23 points from Janice Monakana.
Leicester Riders are level on points after extending their unbeaten run to eight games with a dominant 97-57 triumph at home to Newcastle Eagles, led by a 25-point haul from Holly Winterburn.
Prior to Sunday's defeat, the Eagles had earned their third league win as they defeated Cardiff Met Archers 49-82 behind 26 points from Kara Bonenberger.
Chelsey Shumpert starred in a 58-64 road win for Nottingham Wildcats over BA London Lions with an impressive 30 points and 15 rebounds for a huge double-double display.
