Basketball England has today announced the “City Square 3x3” event which will take place this summer at the iconic Etihad Stadium’s City Square on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July.
The outdoor tournament is now accepting entries for both Men's and Women’s teams in the adult, U18, U16 and U14 categories with an action packed weekend planned for all players in what will be a fantastic celebration of basketball in Manchester. With 3x3 Basketball taking place at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022, Basketball England will continue taking steps to invest more heavily in the smaller format of the game going forward and City Square will provide players, officials and volunteers with a great opportunity to get involved with 3x3!
Entry into the tournament will be £25 for a team of four players, with each player receiving a Nike reversible jersey to use during the event and all players competing will earn FIBA 3x3 Ranking Points. With prizes for the winning teams plus a range of other competitions and giveaways planned throughout the day, the City Square 3x3 is set to be a highlight of this summer’s basketball calendar.
