Leicester Riders will host the Jump 10 World Hoops Challenge at Loughborough University on June 30th as part of the global exposure tour ahead of the main event in Shanghai in August.
The one day event will take place at the end of June featuring eight teams with a UK base battling it out to be Jump 10 Champions in the UK for the first time.
The event features as part of a global tour of the Jump 10 brand, offering great competitive basketball tournaments throughout the summer.
The UK will be represented in August at the main event in China once again with the June tournament acting as a showcase for the selection panel to consider players alongside others already selected from the UK for the event.
“It is an exciting opportunity for us as a club to host such an event and for UK based players to be involved,” commented Leicester Riders Managing Director Russell Levenston.
“The opportunity to expose our brand and players to the Chinese market by hosting such an event at Loughborough University is really positive and we are excited for the tournament in June.”
