With the new Basketball England membership portal set to launch at 4:00pm tomorrow, we have some final updates for all our members who are looking to register for the 2019/20 season.
Firstly, a big thank you to the 254 members that went online earlier this month and tried our test portal. The feedback provided has been invaluable and that information has been used to make some final adjustments to the Portal ahead of tomorrow's launch.
Based on the feedback provided, additional functionality has been added to some pages to aid usability and navigation, a few drop down fields have been altered, some fields have been renamed and the member dashboard has undergone some changes as well, adding in signposting information to help members complete their registration.
Starting next week, we will be changing out opening hours between Monday 5 August and Monday 30 September. From Monday to Friday, we will be open 8:00am – 8:00pm, and on Saturday’s we will be open from 9:00am – 4:00pm. That should provide our members with a much larger window to contact us in the lead up to the start of the season.
In order to ensure that the new portal provides all members with as much security as possible over their sensitive data, the new system will only accept payments online using debit or credit cards. This is to increase the efficiency of payment collection and make it easier for us to reconcile payments against customer accounts.
As mentioned previously, there are a number of drop in sessions planned across the country during August. The sessions are an opportunity for speak to our staff members about how the system works, complete any registrations for 2019/20 and answer any questions people may have.
