The first ever Humphrey Long Invitational Tournament enjoyed a great first day in Manchester as England, Scotland and the Aspire Select teams all put on a show for the hundreds of fans and parents in attendance.
As a dedicated and committed youth coach, Long would no doubt have enjoyed the development opportunity on offer for all the players involved as 12 games took place across two courts at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
“The opening day of the Humph Long Tournament has provided another great opportunity to see our talented, young ETP players in a competitive environment,” said Basketball England’s Technical and Talent Performance Manager Steve Bucknall. “Having the Scottish teams on board reflects the continued cooperation between the home nations. It’s been a fantastic day of entertainment and youthful energy!”
