Basketball England is pleased to announce a freeze to membership and licence fees ahead of the 2020/21 season.
We are also accepting applications for the upcoming NBL campaign, with details available below on how teams can now enter.
With every part of the basketball community still feeling the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, all membership fees will be locked in at their current levels for another 12 months. This includes membership prices for local league players, coaches and officials as well as additional licences for anyone taking part in the NBL and Jnr. NBL.
The affiliation fee for all clubs has also remained the same, at £60 for a senior club and £45 for a junior club.

In addition, NBL team entry fees will be staggered for the first time and split into smaller payments. This has been offered as a result of the ongoing difficulties that Coronavirus has caused for clubs and to reflect the need for increased flexibility should the COVID-19 situation change in the coming months.
Should the NBL season become significantly delayed, we will aim to be as flexible as possible with any remaining instalments. This could include changing the dates for payment or potentially splitting the fees up into smaller instalments where possible.

It includes details on a potential part or full season cancellation, how the new flexible entry fees will be staggered, and how teams can apply to take a sabbatical from the league for 2020/21 without withdrawing.
Basketball England’s Chief Executive Stewart Kellett said: “It is a real positive to be able to open up the NBL to all our clubs for 2020/21.
“Planning for the upcoming season has been no easy feat for the organisation or for our clubs and members, and given the current circumstances, we believe there needs to be flexibility in both our fees and procedures.
“With the publication of the Basketball England Return to Play Roadmap and the ongoing relaxation of measures by the Government, we’re hoping everyone can be safely back on court as soon as possible.”
