British basketball fans have been given a boost with the news that the men’s and women’s British Basketball Trophy Finals, taking place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, will be shown live on the BBC on Sunday 15 March.
The two matches – representing the climax of one of the sport’s premier knockout competitions – will be available live on the BBC Sport website and app, via the BBC iPlayer and via BBC Red Button. The games will also be available on demand via the BBC iPlayer for 30 days following the event.
Durham Palatinates, in their second final of the season so far, clash with Leicester Riders in the women’s WBBL Betty Codona Trophy Final (1pm), before Newcastle Eagles go head to head with Team Solent Kestrels in the men’s BBL Trophy Final (3.30pm). Team Solent Kestrels are the first National Basketball League (NBL) team to reach a major BBL final.
