Coach Tony Garbelotto's latest Basketball England Timeout podcast returns with British basketball coach Alex Sarama.
Described by Tony as 'one of the most innovative coaches working in our game today', the current Pallencanestro College boss talks about life in Italy and his career so far.
Director of Basketball at City of London Academy Jackson Gibbons sat down with Tony last week to discuss a career boasting numerous national titles and what it's like to coach some of the top girls and women playing today.
Tony will be interviewing a range of coaches who fall into three categories - 'Legends', 'Professionals' and 'Rising Stars' each week.
Other guests include Professional skills coach Gary Maitland, NCAA D1 level coach Donna Finnie, Great Britain U18 Head Coach and City of Edinburgh Basketball Club's Craig Nicol, a legend of British and Scottish coaching in John Bunyan, Associate Head Coach at St Francis College, Brooklyn and Head Coach of Great Britain U16s girls Jen Leedham, current coach of UBI Graz in the top Austrian league and long term assistant coach of the highly successful GB Women's team Coach Vanessa Ellis are two other recent guests on the podcast and one of the most successful coaches in women’s and girls basketball, Len Busch.
He has also spoke to Great Britain U16 and Myerscough College coach Troy Culley and former assistant coach of the Great Britain U20s and current director of the Student Athlete Network – Coach Josh Merrington.
