Great Britain learn EuroBasket 2022 group opponents

Great Britain know their group opponents at the 2022 FIBA EuroBasket Finals following today’s draw in Berlin. 

The GB Men will face hosts Italy, Greece, Croatia, Ukraine and Estonia in Group C of next summer’s showpiece tournament. 

EuroBasket 2022 ambassador Dirk Nowitzki and fellow former internationals Roberto Brunamonti and Viktor Sanikidze, assisted with the drawing of the groups. 

The 24 qualified teams were sorted into four groups of six teams each, as per the seedings, which were assigned based on the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike. 

EuroBasket 2022 will be co-hosted by Germany, the Czech Republic, Georgia and Italy and will take place between 1 September and 18 September 2022. 

GB sealed their spot at the finals following superb wins over Germany and France in February to cap their qualifying campaign.
