2020/21 was another exciting year of competition, with Team Solent Kestrels claiming league and playoff honours in NBL Division One and the WNBL final between Ipswich and CoLA Southwark Pride set for this weekend.
The new season will see a return of the NBL and WNBL leagues that were paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year, with all Jnr. NBL competitions also set to get back underway once again.
The links to enter for 2021/22 are all at the bottom of this page, with further information on entry and registration fees plus NBL regulations also available.
"It's always exciting to be able to open up the entry window for a new season.
"2020/21 was a year like no other and all our clubs deserve tremendous credit for dealing with the adversity it presented, both the elite clubs that were able to compete as well as those that were unable to do so.
"We hope that everyone will be able to get back on court and enjoy the sport they love in the coming months, ready for what should be another great season."
Team entry fees, club affiliation fees and NBL specific licence fees have all now been agreed for 2021/22.
Hopefully this will assist all clubs in budgeting for the upcoming season, and can be viewed using the button below.
A full break down of 2021/22 fees, including those for local league teams and participants, plus officials and coaches, will be released in the coming days.
All entry forms will need to be submitted by Monday 14 June 2021 at 4pm. The payment process for these entries has changed for 2021/22, with entry fees being applied to a club’s account through the Basketball England membership portal, rather than being taken as a separate transaction (purchase orders are still available for academic institutions).
Fees that remain outstanding after any potential credit has been used will need to be paid by 1 August 2021.
This change has been made to create a more streamlined process, supporting clubs and providing a longer window for making payments.
Please note that no members can be registered or insurance certificates obtained until club fees are paid in full.
As with previous season, any teams that wish to enter the NBL, WNBL or Jnr. NBL for the first time should read the New Team Entry pack to familiarise themselves with the standards required to compete in NBL competitions.
Full details on entering new teams, 2020/21 withdrawals, sabbaticals and roll-overs and any other entry-specific information are available via the relevant entry forms linked at the bottom of this page.
