Following a brief break in the season following country-wide lockdown restrictions, the league kicked back into life this past weekend in East London.
The schedule has undergone some changes in order to ensure the season can still finish in late May, and one side, Bristol Academy Flyers, have withdrawn. To check out all the changes, click the button below.
Loughborough went joint-top of the WNBL1 table as they beat Barking 77-62.
After Leia Edwards opened the scoring with a free throw for the hosts, the Riders would then move ahead for the majority of the first half.
The Lions did pull back level just before the main change, but as the game moved into the second half, Loughborough refocused, regained the lead, and stayed there the rest of the way.
A triple from Ann Sheia brought the deficit down to just four points for Barking with 4:44 remaining but the Riders would finish on a 16-5 run to seal the W.
The visitors enjoyed another quality outing from American Makana Stone, she fell just short of a triple double with 18 points, 15 boards and nine steals.
Stone's defensive effort contributed to an impressive 22 steals in the game for Loughborough, with 35 of the Riders' points coming off turnovers.
Edwards was the standout for the Lions, with the young forward putting up a 21-point, 10-rebound double double.
