Gallery: Team England 3x3 on the big stage at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games are under way following a stunning opening ceremony.

With pieces from Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai and diver Tom Daley, a 10m tall animatronic bull also moved into the stadium as a symbol of multiculturalism for both Birmingham and the Commonwealth.

Our 3x3 athletes formed part of the Team England delegation, greeted with incredible cheers as they entered the stadium, as they get their competition underway tomorrow.

The Games are now officially open, with events beginning on Friday and more than 5,000 athletes representing 72 nations and territories competing in 280 medal events until 8 August.
