NBL D2&3 Recap: Manchester Magic, Anglia Ruskin, UEL Lions win titles, D3 playoff bracket set

Manchester Magic are the latest NBL side to become regular-season champions after sealing the Division 2 North title.

Magic went into week 23 with a dominant lead in the standings and were well on course to seal their fate.

And when Team Birmingham Elite conceded Saturday's fixture between the two teams it gave Magic an unassailable lead, meaning they ran out for Sunday's contest with Northamptonshire Titans - which they won 110-87 - already champions.

It continues a fine year for the Magic and Mystics set-up, who have enjoyed National Cup and Junior league success across the board and with the men's senior team set to return the D1M.

Westminster Warriors were first to claim a D2 title, winning D2M South last month. Magic follow Brent Bulls and Stockport Lapwings who won their respective D2W divisions in recent weeks.

Division Three's title race picture is completed as Anglia Ruskin sealed the East title on a head-to-head tiebreaker with Essex and the London Thunder joined the D3 other winners as they finished top of the London standings.

Division 3 Playoffs confirmed

With the regular-season standings now confirmed, details of the Division Three playoff picture can now be confirmed.

The first round taking place on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March as teams begin their quest to make April's Finals showpiece at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester.
