WNBL1 Preview: Week 24 (26/27 March 2022) - live streams, stats and more

Reading's loss to Solent last Wednesday confirms D1W's bottom two, leaving playoff seedings as the main focus for the final weekend of the regular season.

The Rockets join Nottingham in facing potential relegation, and with CoLA sealing the regular season title already, the battle for second through to seventh is now coming to the fore.

We take a look at all the action below, with links to live stats and live streams at the bottom of the page.

Cardiff Met Archers II (12-9) v Thames Valley Cavaliers (15-6)

There's a potential playoff matchup on tap tomorrow as Cardiff host Thames Valley.

If the season ended today, it would be the Archers who'd travel to the Cavs, but this weekend should still provide an interesting dress rehearsal between two exciting teams.

Having won five in a row, the Welsh outfit would love to keep that streak going for one more game to head into the playoffs on a high.

Behind current FocusHoops Player of the Week Isobel Bunyan, the Archers are on a roll. Adding in the talents of Amber Deane (17.8PPG, 9.3RPG, 5.3APG, 5.2SPG) and Carys Roy (13.7PPG, 8.9RPG), coach Wagstaff's side can attempt a deep post-season run if they can keep this form going.

Thames Valley still have a shot at second, but will need Loughborough to stumble this weekend to draw level and take advantage of their head-to-head tiebreaker.

Any success they have in the coming weeks will surely centre around guard Kat Goldsby (16.5PPG, 6.3RPG, 2.5APG, 4.1SPG), who leads her side in minutes and efficiency, plus points and steals per game.

Elsewhere this weekend

Saturday contains just two games, beginning with Loughborough Riders (16-4) hosting Nottingham Trent University (2-19), with a win confirming the Riders as the #2 seeds for the post season.

There's also the first leg of a back-to-back double header between Team Solent Kestrels (12-8) and Ipswich (14-6).

Playing on the South coast tomorrow and in Suffolk on Sunday, Ipswich can climb up to third if results go their way, and Solent could even sneak into the top four from seventh.

Leaders CoLA Southwark Pride (19-2) can finish their season on a high as they host local rivals London Lions II (5-16), whilst Loughborough complete their double-header as they entertain Kat Hulme and Anglia Ruskin University (13-8).
