Becoming a member of Basketball England remains free for all, with those participating in the sport at a local or national level needing to pay for additional licences to do so.
That fee depends on the level of competition and the role undertaken, and individuals requiring multiple licences for combined roles will still only pay for the most expensive. This will be calculated at the point of purchase by the portal.

Ten-minute key support sessions can be booked for anyone who needs additional help with completing the membership and licencing process. A link to book your slot can be found at the bottom of this page.
These sessions will be solely for individual NBL licencing up until 31 July, when attention will turn to clubs, local leagues and associations.
Local League and BUCS participants will be able to register from 1 August 2023 as in previous seasons. Additional 10-minute support sessions for BUCS members will be available from 1 September onwards.
For all general enquiries and assistance, members can email [email protected] or call 0300 600 1170, though please bear in mind that this is a high-volume time and our wait times may be longer than usual.
A detailed help document has been compiled that will provide all the information needed for licencing. This includes ways to contact us, changes to the BE Membership Portal for the new season and other specific NBL licence processes, like non-nationals.
