Chris will pick a Player of the Week and four other selections to round out his Team of the Week, paying attention to the following criteria:
Other players will also receive a shout out as honourable mentions at the bottom of the piece.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rooney was a key part of the solution with 17 second-half points as Newcastle bounced back from a 29-point first-half deficit to win against Thames Valley, earning him my Player Of The Week award.
The versatile guard did a bit of everything, but most notably he was lights-out from the line with an almost perfect 12 from 13, whilst also providing key stops, leading all players with three steals and adding three blocks.
The former Surrey Scorchers’ guard showed his BBL pedigree in helping take down the Hoods in overtime with a confident performance that fell one dime short of a triple-double.
Busumbru was a handful throughout, even in overtime with a key assist for a timely triple before showcasing his dunking ability to offer a psychological blow as Essex pushed their lead out to six points.
Stokic posted a monster performance in Newcastle, coming close to a triple-double with a weekend-high 27 rebounds.
His rebounding limited the opposition to just eight second-chance points while the Cavaliers dominated in the paint with 25 second-chance points of their own and 60 points in the paint.
The former Barking Abbey star impressed in the first quarter with his six-point, 11-rebound and five-assist output, contributing well to his side’s 21-point lead at the end of the quarter.

Poorman put on a show from the Rebels' bench with a triple-double, helping his team get win with four points and three assists in overtime.
The former Solent captain’s influence shone brightest in the eight-point win as the one-time Rebound All Star led all players with a plus-minus 19.
It has been a strong season for Loughborough’s captain as Hedley put on a show in the 15-point dub against Barking. The talented guard was a standout performer for the Riders, leading all players in every box score category bar blocks and plus-minus.
Hedley did a bit of everything to help ensure his side got their sixth win of the season, earning him a well earnt spot in my Team Of The Week.

London Elite used a strong rebounding and passing performance to seal a tough road-trip victory against a fellow newly promoted side, City of Birmingham Rockets.
The bench more than played their part, Ty Nsangu got 10 rebounds, seven on the offensive end to capitalise on missed shots, whilst adding three blocks to a nice two-way performance.
Kane Daley also impressed, chipping in a team-high 22 points from the bench.
