The U18 select team comprising of a number of EABL talents beat local hosts London United 81-66 to begin the competition before falling to defeats against Zalgiris Kaunas, Stella Azurra Academy and Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg over the next two days.
Zalgiris Kaunas would eventually take the title on Sunday afternoon, beating Stella Azurra 68-56.
The tournament provided an excellent platform for a number of solid English performances, including Timothy Oboh (17pts, 6reb, 2blk vs London United, 16pts, 7reb, 2ast vs Zalgiris Kaunas), Joe Lloyd (14pts, 1reb, 1stl vs Stella Azurra) and Will Taylor (11pts, 14reb3ast vs Ludwigsburg).
The event also included an International Coaching Clinic on the Saturday, allowing UK-based coaches to experience some of the most up- to-date trends in developing young talent. Speakers included Tautvydas Šležas, Germano D’Arcangeli, Andrea Pelliconi and Phillip Staiger as they talked about illustrative concepts to player development.
