Myerscough's unbeaten record in the EABL North is no more as they came unstuck against old foes Charnwood, whilst JMA had no problem easing past Copleston in the South's only game.
The WEABL's lone clash saw Barking pick up their first win of the season, securing a hefty win against JMA Reading Rockets.

Leaders Myerscough College (6-1) suffered their first defeat of the year as they lost 84-78 against Charnwood College Riders (4-2).
Neither side was able to lead by double digits until Charnwood's late charge in the fourth, the 'Sco still battled back to pull within five before ultimately running out of time.
Edward Onyia (27pts, 11reb, 5/10 3pt) was the standout for the hosts as team mate Caiden Ross (23pts) also did his bit for the Charnwood cause.
Myerscough shared the load on offence to send four scorers to 13 points or more, led by Harry Sheehan's 18 points and 15 apiece from Junior Sanchez and Harry Godwin,
JMA Reading Rockets (2-3) had too much to handle for hosts Copleston High School (1-7), leaving town with an 80-59 victory.
After an even 23-23 opening frame, JMA used a 14-7 second period to move into a lead they would never relinquish, powered by the likes of Isaac Spurrier (30pts, 15reb), and Ethan Round (20pts, 13reb, 6stl).

In the WEABL's only game, Barking Abbey (1-4) are off the mark for the year as they beat JMA Reading Rockets (0-5) 91-27.
Alice Woodward's 18 points and 15 more from Megan Verbeeten were more than enough to get BA over the line against the struggling Rockets, who were led by nine points from Tania Dhillon.
JMA now move on to play Oaklands next week, whilst Barking have a break until they travel to JMA on 22 January.
