With just three games on the slate this past Wednesday, it was a quiet start to 2025, but the lay-off didn't stop JMA's Isaac Spurrier from putting up a quality stat line against EABL South opponents Copleston.
With just a single game in the WEABL, no Player of the Week was awarded.
Despite there only being two EABL games this week, JMA's Isaac Spurrier produced a performance against Copleston that would have been a worthy winner regardless.
With a game-high 30 points to go with a tied game-high 15 rebounds, his big double-double was enough to push the Rockets to an 80-59 road success, and their second win of the season.
Shooting 60% from the field was a bonus, as was his reliable 11/13 from the free-throw line as he was fouled a hefty eight times in the contest.
Speaking about the performance, he said: “It was important for us to get the win to bring confidence for us going into the second half of the season.
"Although it wasn’t our best performance, we did well when it mattered and I am happy I was able to help the team.”
JMA head coach Samit Nuruzade added: “Isaac has done really well this season and has put in a lot of good performances so it’s great he is being recognised for that alongside his teammates.”
