Paul, a writer, commentator, podcaster and more, had six games to keep an eye on, including wins for front runners CoLA, Ipswich, Brent and ARU.

Darren will pick a Player of the Week and four other selections to round out his Team of the Week, paying attention to the following criteria:
The FocusHoops Team of the Week
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brent's Lindsey Cleary was in top form last weekend, doing what she does best to help the Bulls down Worcester 76-41.
27 points and 13 rebounds were both game-highs, making for an influential double-double as the Londoners picked up their eighth win of the season.
Five assists were also handy, as were two steals, as the American demonstrated her value at both ends of the court.
Shooting an efficient 63% in the contest, and committing just one turnover in 32:59 of court time, Cleary gets the nod as my D1W Player of the Week.
This weekend's top scorer is a straightforward inclusion in my five as Ipswich's Harriet Welham went off to the tune of 38 points in her side's 92-48 victory against London Cavaliers.
A perfect 7/7 from the line, 59% shooting from the floor, three rebounds and two steals, there was a lot to like about the reigning MVP's performance on Saturday as she and her Ipswich overwhelmed the Cavaliers.
Another scoring title looks likely to be heading Welham's way in this kind of form, and her 25.0PPG is nearly four points ahead of the next closest challenger, Tia Freeman (21.1PPG).
Bristol picked up a much-needed win as they saw off the challenge of Manchester Mystics, 67-56, with Marlee Ball doing her bit to make it happen.
Ball scored nearly 30% of her side's points in the low-scoring contest, providing key momentum for the hosts as they pushed their record back over .500.
The former SLBer is an integral piece of her side's offence, shooting 25% of their shots this weekend and making them count with a team-high 19 points to go with nine rebounds for a near double-double.
With Ipswich stuffing the stat sheet against London, the reigning regular season champs have a double up in the Team of the Week as Maddy Wormald joins Welham.
Wormald was on triple-double watch as she dropped 21 points to go with 11 rebounds, and an unconventional eight steals shows how good the Australian was on the defensive end as well.
52% shooting (9/17) showed her efficiency, and the Ipswich standout scored all her points from the field as she wasn't sent to the line once in 29:18 of action.
Veronica Iweanya didn't need long to make a big impact off the Bristol bench in their win against Manchester.
Despite logging just 19:25 of court time for the Flyers, Iweanya still put together a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double that included six offensive rebounds.
The Flyers rank first in D1W for rebounding, and with performances like we saw from Iweanya this weekend, it is easy to see why!
It was a big weekend for D1W's leading lights,. The top six all won, with Ipswich and Brent both winning big as they came out on top by 44 points and 35 points, respectively.
Having players like Harriet Welham, Lindsey Cleary and others playing well is always a big attraction for D1W, and the best players doing their best work certainly adds to what the league has to offer.
Adding perennial contenders CoLA into the mix, plus a Brent side hungry for success and top four chasing ARU, it's shaping up to be a exciting second half of the regular season!
As the saying goes, "it never rains but it pours". Barking (1-10) and Reading (1-11) are both in desperate need of a win as they occupy the league's two potential relegation spots, and both were left with single possession losses this weekend.
18 points from Megan Verbeeten wouldn't be enough for Barking to upset ARU, who survived 56-53, whilst Alicia Guerra-Rainford (26pts, 6reb) did all she could to try and prevent Reading from falling to a 63-60 defeat in Loughborough.
Perhaps both sides can take heart from how close they pushed two teams battling for the top four, but sadly moral victories don't count on the league standings.
