Future Stars x Basketball England: Coaching Clinic to feature Zan Tabak

The Future Stars International Coaching Clinic, run in conjunction with Basketball England, returns in August with Croatian Euroleague and NBA champion Zan Tabak the keynote speaker. 

The clinic, part of the Future Stars Tournament, will take place on Saturday 24 August (9am-1pm) at Brunel University, London. 

Tabak will be the main attraction as a member of an exclusive club of just 13 basketball players who have claimed both Euroleague and NBA titles after winning with both Split and the Houston Rockets.  

That group also includes legends such as Tony Kukoc, Bob McAdoo and Manu Ginobili, although Tabak can boast a similarly impressive resume as a coach with Real Madrid, Sant Josep Girona, Fuenlabrada, Baskonia, Betis Sevilla and San Pablo Burgos in Spain, Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv, the Slovakian National Team and Stelmet Zielona Gora and Trefl Sopot in Poland. 

Tabak, whose playing career also took him to the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers, will deliver two clinic lectures on ‘Individual interior game workout’ and ‘Interior game team tactics’. 

He will be supported by the Head Coach of the junior programme at Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg, Keeryoung Rhee. Coach Rhee started his successful coaching career at the German powerhouse Bayern Munich and in his current role also works with the senior Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg team which competing in the BBL. To complement subjects covered by Coach Tabak, Coach Rhee will focus on ‘Individual training for an outside player’.

The clinic costs £50 per delegate, which includes a commemorative coaching board.
