NBL 2024/25 fixtures announced - structures confirmed

With the 2024/25 season edging ever-nearer fixtures for the new season have been released.

Already available to clubs to make the necessary adjustments around venue availability, the fixtures for the new season are now available to view online.

Fixtures are in a draft format until the 31 August, with teams having up until that date to make changes as needed to their own fixtures via the BE Membership Portal.

The NBL has once again grown, increasing 11.67% to a total of 1,033 teams from 925 a year ago, and represents the first time in its history that the NBL has played host to over 1,000 teams.

Membership, including individual NBL licencing, will be available this month, allowing players, coaches and officials a head-start with getting signed up ahead of the new season.

The fixtures for the NBL, WNBL and Jnr. NBL, following promotions, relegations and new entries, are available online and can be viewed using the buttons below. Senior structures can be seen in the gallery at the foot of this article.

Basketball England’s Senior Delivery Manager Rob Fairley said:

“We've been working hard with teams behind the scenes to map out the new season and set the scene for what is sure to be another brilliant season across the NBL, WNBL and Jnr. NBL.

“With the number of returning teams and new entries both continuing an upward trajectory, that is a great sign of how BE's competitions continue to go from strength-to-strength.

"Seeing the leagues grow to over 1,000 entries is another testament to the hard work both internally and externally to continue the growth of the sport."

Ones to watch

NBL Division One will remain once again a 13-team division, with Hemel Storm looking to make it three playoff titles in a row following their success in recent years.

Ipswich took the regular season title in D1W before losing out to CoLA in the playoff final. Both will return alongside ten other teams as part of a 12 outfit WNBL top flight.

There's no change in NBL Division Two, which is once again split into a pair of 12 team leagues, whilst 23 teams will make up D2W across two pools.

NBL Division Three will be split into four pools, and the new Conference league will underpin the NBL structure as it makes a debut for 2024/25.

In total, 166 senior teams will take part in the new season, up from 156 a year ago.

Jnr. NBL

The Jnr. NBL has risen from 769 to 867 teams for 2024/25, with another sharp rise in participation coming across the U18 men, U16 boys and U14 boys competitions.

As in previous seasons, there will be three premier competitions in the U18s, U16s and U14s on the boys side, with Northern, Eastern and Western pools at all three age groups.

The girls are split into a North and South premier across their three age groups, with a number of Conference leagues underpinning all the junior age groups.

Regional competitions are also in place for certain parts of the structure.
