There's also a double-header for the first time this season as Essex host Nottingham on Saturday before welcoming Reading on Sunday, with Loughborough and Bradford both having the weekend off.
We take a look at all the weekend's action below, with links to live stats at the bottom of the page.
Unbeaten sides Hemel and Bristol meet on Saturday evening in a game that should provide some quality viewing for NBL fans.
It is still very early days, but Hemel will have been a contender to be unbeaten at this stage, though the same perhaps can't be said of Bristol after their promotion to the top flight a year ago.
That said, the Hurricanes certainly looked like they belong at this level during last weekend's 79-66 victory over former D1M winners Loughborough.
Captain Daniel Edozie put together a performance that earned him a spot in the D1M Team of the Week, and this weekend will provide a great yard stick for Bristol's early progress.
Hemel, after all, are not too far removed from their historic unbeaten season and are the reigning Playoff champions following last April's win over Reading.
Early victories against Bradford and Newcastle have set Coach Clark's side on their way for 2024/25 after already booking a spot in the KitKing Trophy semi-finals for another year, and Hemel's roster has already looked good so far.
Veron Eze, Sam Newman and Darien Nelson-Henry have all earned Player or Team of the Week honours since the new campaign began, and alongside the likes of Tra'Michael Moton, Trent Monkman and Matt Ellis, Storm appear set for yet another run at the summit of D1M.
It'll be interesting to see how Bristol stack up against this weekend's opponent, regardless of result.
.
The weekend begins with Milton Keynes Breakers (2-0) looking to extend their run against winless Newcastle Knights (0-2).
The Breakers have enjoyed back-to-back Player of the Week performances from Adrian Scarborough and Nate Robinson, making this a tough encounter for a Kinights side still trying to hit their stride this season.
The first of Essex Rebels' (0-1) two games on the weekend is a home tie with Nottingham Hoods (1-1) on Saturday.
Essex were out of action last weekend so can make up for lost time here but will need to be on their guard against forward Greg Skoric, who averages 26.5PPG and 9.5RPG through two games.
Derby Trailblazers (1-1) rediscovered their winning form on the South Coast against Worthing last weekend and now head back to the Midlands for a date with Team of the Week pick Justin Robinson and the rest of the Thames Valley Cavaliers' (1-1) roster.
City of Birmingham Rockets (2-0) are a surprise package so far this season given their form a year ago, but they've been deserving of their unbeaten status so far with a pair of solid performances.
They will try and make it three from three against a Worthing Thunder (0-2) side who have conceded a D1M-leading 212 points through two games.
Sunday's only game sees the second leg of Essex's double-header as they entertain Reading Rockets (1-1).
Reading fell to their first defeat of the season last time out as they ran into in-form City of Birmingham.
The Berkshire side will need to put that performance behind them and bounce back here if they're to keep their lofty aspirations on track.
