A loss for Hemel puts a big dent in their title defence, whilst a win for Barking over Worthing keeps their hopes of D1M survival alive.
We take a look at all of the weekend's action below, with links to live stats and live streams at the bottom of the page.
An 87-72 home loss to one of the team's they're chasing for D1M safety plus results elsewhere made for a miserable weekend for London Elite.
Defeat for the struggling Londoners allowed Thames Valley to move six points clear of the relegation scrap, and victories for Barking plus City of Birmingham means the former D2 South winners are quickly running out of time to stage a survival push.
The game started ominously for the hosts, as TVC moved out to a 21-13 lead after one, with their lead hitting 16 shortly after the half time break.
Elite did fight back and a 25-17 third would see them pull their deficit down to just a single point, but that was as close as London would come.
Shaquille Lewis (26pts, 7reb, 3ast) shot a cool 75% from the floor as the standout for the Cavs, who eased their own relegation fears with a vital win.
Team mate Igor Stokic (17pts, 11reb) added a useful double-double as Charles Acquah-Davis (15pts, 5reb, 5ast) put in a shift for Elite against his old team.
The path to safety now looks dicey for London, with clashes against Hemel, Essex and Reading littering their remaining schedule.
Thames Valley on the other hand are now just one win off Nottingham Hoods in the final playoff spot, though the Cavs are in a three-team group, with Worthing and City of Birmingham all chasing the eighth spot.
.
Barking Abbey (3-16) moved level with London Elite on six points following a hard-fought 101-97 win against Worthing Thunder (6-12).
BA trailed by as many as eight points with less than three minutes to go but closed on a 12-0 run to snatch the victory, behind 19 points from Sam Akano.
Essex Rebels (15-2) added another notch to the win column as they saw off Reading Rockets (11-6) 87-68.
Five Essex players scored 11 or more across a balanced attack, led by 17 points from Victor Olarerin and Kyron Martin. Mitch Clarke had 20 for Reading, who fell out of the top four with their sixth loss of the season.
Hemel Storm's (12-4) title defence took a major hit as they went down 99-81 at home to Bradford Dragons (9-9).
Justin Williams (23pts, 9ast) and Ronald Blain (20pts, 6reb) were too much for the hosts as they slipped further back from frontrunners Derby and Essex despite 23 points from Taylor Johnson.
City of Birmingham Rockets (6-12) went to OT for the third time this, beating Nottingham Hoods (7-11) 102-96 after an extra frame.
The Rockets are 3 for 3 in OT games this season, including when the teams last met in mid-November.
Saturday's win came courtesy of double-doubles from Orlan Jackman (25pts, 14reb) and Samuel Toluwase (24pts, 11reb), cancelling out a massive 41 point effort from Nottingham's Landon Taliaferro.
Leaders Derby Trailblazers (16-2) kept themselves out in front with a 100-92 W against local rivals Loughborough Riders (10-9) as standout guard Sam Masten (21pts, 12ast) once again putting on a top performance.
It didn't get any better for Loughborough in Sunday's only game as they lost out once again, going down 76-67 at home against Newcastle University (12-6).
A 29-11 opening quarter set the tone for the contest as Logan Rooney poured in 27 points to go with 10 boards, allowing Newcastle to edge past Reading and into the top four.
