Officiating: Free online clinics coming next week thanks to Jr. NBA

Four of the world's top referees will be providing free clinics next week on a range of important topics.

As part of the Jr. NBA programme, referees Mark Wunderlich, Bennett Salvatore, Joe Crawford, and Eddie Rush will be providing a quartet of 45 minute sessions covering topics such as Mechanics & Dual Coverage Areas, Communication, Running the Game, and Freedom of Movement.

Together, these esteemed referees have officiated an impressive 7,028 regular-season games, 898 playoff games, and 90 NBA Finals games, and the free clinics are not to be missed.

Basketball England's Delivery Manager for Officiating, Simon Unsworth, said:

"A big thanks goes to the NBA for helping to facilitate this brilliant learning opportunity, and I would encourage all officials, regardless of their level or experience, to tap into the sessions next week.

"With an incredible wealth of experience at the highest level and some really compelling topics, the Jr. NBA clinics are bound to be very useful for all involved."

Running from 18-21 June and beginning at 5pm each day, sessions will be held on Zoom, with the link to each session provided via theĀ OWQLO app.

Once you have the OWQLO app, you can subscribe to the programme from the 'Programs' section of the app, which is available for both Apple and Android devices and is free to download.
