Following another successful campaign in 2023/24, plans have been drawn up for the new season to engage over 2,500 young players across the talent pathway.
There will be one main window for clubs to nominate their players for Aspire activity which is open until 12 September, plus an auxiliary window in December with some additional steps in place.
The calendar of activity has been provisionally confirmed for:
“Following the positive feedback received last season, we have once again released the provisional Talent Calendar as early as we can.
"Hopefully our workforce and players’ families can plan ahead for the new season, and clubs can help to support their players who are on the Talent Pathway.
“We have also worked closely with our competitions department to try and ensure that talent and NBL activity clashes as little as possible.”
The Aspire Programme will again feature initial Regional Skills Camps, before selected players move on to Super-Region Camps. The programme will culminate with the Aspire All-Star National Tournament in July 2025.
England national team activity (ETP) will take place in late May and early June, following an announcement between the BBF and home nations earlier this summer.
All dates are provisional and subject to change.
*11 contact days of Skills Camps and six contact days of Super Region Camps to be delivered. The windows are offered as a means of providing flexibility to the programme and final dates will be confirmed in the coming months.
Player eligibility for 2024/25 is for players born between 1st January 2010 to 31st December 2013:
The nomination window has now closed. A further nomination window will come in December 2024, where coaches can nominate additional talented players. In order to do this, each coach will have to discuss these nominations with their RTM prior to making the nomination formally.
This auxiliary window will open for four weeks, commencing 2 December 2024, and more information will be released on this window nearer the time.
