Starting with a 49-46 victory on the road to the previous pace-setters, Loughborough Riders, the Flyers followed that with a deserved 66-51 win over the Thames Valley Cavaliers.
Their latest victory came away to Reading Rockets, where they led from start to finish in an 89-64 success. The recent form has pleased Oakey, as his side flourishes ahead of a demanding schedule in the build-up to Christmas.
"We're positive, we had a shaky start with lots of new players coming in, and we haven't hit our potential yet as a team," said Oakey.
"Our confidence, though, is growing with this group, as is the belief in what we're doing with every game and every practice. Wins definitely help that."
It also helps when Bristol's leading scorer posts a 20-20 performance, as Marlee Ball was everywhere against Reading, posting 20 points, 20 rebounds, and six assists in an incredible performance.
The former Caledonia Gladiators guard has had to adjust, but Oakey says she is now finding her groove, and Ball will only get better.
"It's been a big change for her because when we went to Ireland for pre-season, she wasn't making shots we know she can make," Oakey admits.
"But as the days and weeks have gone, she's understood her role, and she's fitted in really well. She's a great player, fun to watch, and very smart in what she does, and when she performs well, the team plays well, too.
"We've had significant contributions from everyone who has stepped on the court this season, especially in our wins.
The Flyers now move to 4-3 in the Division 1 standings with tough battles against CoLA Southwark Pride, Worcester Wolves, and Endeavour Ipswich Basketball on the horizon.
"We believe in ourselves," Oakey said. "We know what we can do and can beat anyone on our day."
