And this weekend will also determine who Ipswich will square off against in this season’s Women’s National Cup final on Sunday 19 January in Manchester as the second semi-final takes place.
We take a look at all the weekend's action below, with links to live stats at the bottom of the page.
Brent Bulls host London Cavaliers on Sunday with the winner progressing to the Women’s National Cup final to face Endeavour Ipswich Basketball.
For the Bulls, it is a chance of a first final having reached the last four of the competition thanks to a comprehensive 76-42 victory over the Cobham Cobras.
Veteran Judith Fritz paced Brent with 20 points in that quarter-final win as they out-scored Cobham 46-17 in the second half.
The Bulls face a London side that are aiming to make their third straight Women’s National Cup showpiece and set up a repeat of last year’s final against Ipswich where they narrowly lost 96-90.
The newly named Cavaliers, who won the event in 2023, reached the semi-finals with a narrow 57-52 win over the Bristol Academy Flyers. Theresa Jackson led the way with 17 points.

With CoLA not in action this weekend, Ipswich (7-3) have a great chance to go joint top of the standings as they travel to Barking Abbey (1-8) on Saturday.
It will certainly be a tough ask for BA, who are last in PPG at 51.5, facing off against the league’s highest scorers with Ipswich, putting up 81.8 points a game.
Cobham Cobras (4-7) began their WNBL1 season with a dominant victory over the Reading Rockets (1-9) and they will face the Berkshire side again on Saturday, hoping to not only secure the head-to-head but to improve their playoff aspirations as well.
Manchester Mystics (5-6) will look to the new year as a chance to rediscover their early-season form when they host Worcester Wolves (4-5) at the Manchester Basketball Centre.
Starting the campaign 3-0, the Mystics have since lost six of their next eight games, with the Wolves currently on a two-game winning streak heading to the North West, led by Carolina Marques’ 19.9ppg, 2.6apg.
Anglia Ruskin University (6-5) will look to the free-scoring Tia Freeman (22.1ppg) to get them back to winning ways when they face Marlee Ball (16ppg, 14.1rpg) and the Bristol Academy Flyers (6-5).
