After last weekend's clash between heavyweights CoLA and Ipswich, the regular-season champs are back at it again tomorrow with a home tilt against another title contender in Brent Bulls.
That game forms part of the five game schedule for Saturday, with Reading Rockets vs Bristol Academy Flyers taking place on Sunday to wrap the weekend.
We take a look at all the weekend's matchups below, with links to live stats at the bottom of the page.
Brent head to Suffolk on Saturday for a chance to further derail Endeavour Ipswich Basketball's regular-season title defence.
Ipswich were beaten 77-55 by CoLA Southwark Pride last weekend and get no respite as they welcome another title contender to Copleston tomorrow.
The Bulls finished fourth in the standings a year ago with an impressive 16-6 record, and they've built on that foundation for 2024/25 with the addition of American Lindsey Clearly.
A standout for former club Reading, the talented guard has moved to the Bulls and averages 14.3PPG, 6.7RPG and 4.3SPG through the early going.
Adding that kind of production to a roster that already includes Judit Fritz, Ellie Bishop, Vanessa Akra and more, and Brent look tooled up to make another run at the D1W title.
Standing in their way once again will be Ipswich, who can still call upon D1W leading scorer Harriet Welham (23.2PPG), whilst she and forward Louisa Gibbins (13.5PPG, 10.7RPG) occupy #1 and #2 in the league's efficiency charts.
The #3 spot is taken by Ipswich's Australian import Maddy Wormald, and her averages of 15.3PPG and 10.0RPG suggest she's already settled into her new home.
There's talent everywhere you look in this one, and neither team will want to slip up in what is becoming an increasing competitive D1W title race.
Ipswich also play their quarter-final of the WNBL National Cup this weekend against Barking Abbey, though taking their eye off the ball against Brent to focus on Sunday's encounter is sure to be costly.
.
The weekend begins with a difficult road trip for Worcester Wolves (2-3) as they head to defending playoff champs CoLA Southwark Pride (4-1), who are yet to lose on their own court this season.
Loughborough Riders (4-2) are looking to end a two-game skid that has slowed their early season momentum. That won't be an easy task on the road to an Anglia Ruskin University (3-3) that have won of two of their last three.
Another team that started hot but have since cooled off are Manchester Mystics (3-3), who won three in a row to open 2024/25 but have since dropped all three of their recent games. They'll look to get back to their old ways with a home clash against Cobham Cobras (3-3).
Saturday's only other game sees Barking Abbey (1-4) trying to build on last weekend's first win of the season as they take the short trip to Uxbridge to play Thames Valley Cavaliers (2-3) and D1W standout Kat Goldsby (20.3PPG).
There's just the one game on Sunday but it's a big one for Reading Rockets (0-5) as they search for a way to get into the win column for the first time this year.
Standing between them and that goal are Bristol Academy Flyers (3-3), who will be eyeing a three game win streak if they can secure the points in that one.
