There's plenty to settle between now and then, though, including Hemel taking another step towards sealing top spot with a much-anticipated tie in Milton Keynes.
We take a look at all the action below, with links to live stats at the bottom of the page.
Hemel's quest to secure the D1M regular-season title heads to Milton Keynes this weekend and a much-anticipated tie with the Breakers.
Fresh off their first league defeat of the season against Reading, Hemel face an opponent in red-hot form as they try to avoid back-to-back defeats.
Winners of five straight, including a victory against second-placed Reading Rockets, the Breakers are going from strength-to-strength as the regular season winds down.
Part of the reason for that push is the resigning of captain Jordan Spencer, who's stint in the SLB has come to an end. His return is a big win for MK, and the NBL as a whole, with the MK man wasting little in recapturing his usual high levels of performance.
Included in the most recent D1M Team of the Week for his near triple-double antics in the 90-82 victory over Loughborough, Spencer's battle with the likes of Hemel's Sam Newman (12.5PPG, 8.7APG) and Matt Ellis (20.1PPG, 7.8RPG) is sure to be must-watch viewing.
Add MK's Adrian Scarborough into the mix, with the American ranking second in D1M for efficiency, and it is easy to see why this clash is one of the most hotly anticipated in British basketball this weekend.
Hemel got the best of the Breakers when the sides met in D1M last November, emerging with an 88-66 victory thanks to 29 points from Tra'Michael Moton. The duo also met in the KitKing Trophy semi-final on 3 November, with MK winning that one 100-88.
Add onto that Hemel's 73-70 victory in December's NBL National Cup quarter-final, and it is easy to see how these two well-matched sides could serve up a fourth instalment of excitement this weekend.
And given where both teams currently sit in the D1M standings, fans could be forgiven for wanting a fifth a final contest at some point during next month's playoffs.

The weekend contains four other games on Saturday, plus one on Sunday.
Strugglers Nottingham Hoods (4-13) remain in the thick of things down at the bottom, with a home clash against Bristol Hurricanes (9-8) to navigate next.
With three sides all tied on eight points as things stand and two potential relegation spots waiting, the importance of every late season contest has ramped up significantly.
Another team in the mix at the foot of the table, Worthing Thunder (4-15) only have five games left on their schedule, two fewer than Nottingham and three than Bradford.
With one of those contests being a difficult trip to top-four chasing Derby, finding points from their other games, including Saturday's home tilt with Essex Rebels (9-7), remains a priority.
City of Birmingham Rockets (7-12) claimed a dramatic OT victory against Newcastle last weekend to keep their playoff hopes alive. A home game against Bradford Dragons (4-12) is another opportunity to push the Rockets up the standings, but it won't be easy against a Dragons side scrapping for their D1M future.
Saturday's only other game sees Derby Trailblazers (11-6) entertaining Newcastle Knights (6-11).
Derby are currently locked in a three-way battle with Milton Keynes and Loughborough for two top-four spots behind Reading and Hemel, leaving them little room for error across the next month.
Newcastle have managed to create a gap to the teams below them in the relegation fight, but a few bad results could quickly change that equation. The Knights need to keep pushing ahead, with a shot at a playoff place still very much alive as well.
Sunday's only game is a second vs fifth affair as Loughborough Riders (11-8) head to Reading Rockets (14-4).
If Hemel came out second best against the Breakers and Reading can overcome Loughborough, the Rockets would be just two points behind the current leaders.
As the Berkshire side own the head-to-head tiebreaker between the sides, that could create another added layer of pressure to Hemel's title chase over the coming weeks.
