Ipswich and CoLA are both in action, though with Brent taking a week off, the duo have a chance to put some breathing room between themselves and the chasing pack.
We take a look at all the weekend's match-ups below, with links to live stats at the bottom of the page.
Seventh plays eighth on Saturday evening as Worcester make the trip to Bristol to take on the Flyers.
The Wolves will head down the M5 with the hopes of returning with a pair of valuable points as they try to forge ahead in the three-way tie for the final playoff spot, but it won't be easy against hosts who can still make it as high as fifth spot by season's end.
In truth, the Flyers can mathematically crack the top four with four games remaining, but passing Loughborough and Manchester seems a more likely target with just two points separating the three teams.
At 2-3 in their last five, Bristol have come unstuck against the likes of Brent and CoLA in that stretch, but a defeat by Loughborough will have been harder to swallow given the current proximity between the two sides.
The Flyers did look like they could make a significant push up the D1W standings earlier in the season, putting together a four game win streak in November that came to an abrupt halt at the hands of this weekend's opponents Worcester.
The Wolves won their home tilt 92-73 behind a stunning 34 points from Carolina Marques, with the Portuguese sharp shooter enjoying the kind of form that has seen the guard maintain her spot as the team's top offensive option.
Marques' 18.4PPG is closely followed by Nina Wallace (15.6PPG), with the pair no doubt set to play a big part in any success Worcester may enjoy this weekend.
Bristol are continuing to work Samantha Roscoe into their rotation as the talented forward returns from injury. Early production has been positive, with plenty more to come from the former Caledonia forward.
Her link up with another from WBBLer, Marlee Ball, is one to watch in the coming weeks, with Kim Kheing (10.7PPG) and Leila Jepson (10.1PPG) also offering double-digit production this season for the Flyers.
.
Four other games fill the weekend, beginning with leaders Endeavour Ipswich Basketball (15-3) taking a trip to Cobham Cobras (6-13).
As they don't own the head-to-head tiebreaker with fellow three-loss team CoLA, Ipswich need to hope their rivals slip up somewhere along the line. They'll also more than likely need to stay perfect themselves, including in a trip to a Cobras side that's battling for a playoff spot and to stay ahead of the relegation spots in equal measure.
Barking Abbey's (4-13) big win over Reading last weekend provided the East London side with plenty of momentum in the bid to beat the drop.
That positivity will be face a tough test as BA entertain CoLA Southwark Pride (14-3), who just need to win their final five games to secure the D1W regular season title.
Reading Rockets (2-16) will be resigned to a bottom-two finish and potential relegation to D2W with defeat away to Anglia Ruskin University (12-7).
There'll be no time for sentiment from an ARU side still chasing the top four, and with an opportunity to move into a tie for third should they be able to hand the Rockets another defeat.
That just leaves Manchester Mystics (10-9) to take a trip to Crystal Palace to do battle with London Cavaliers (6-10).
With the hosts no doubt being roared on by a sizable crowd at the 3,500 venue as Uxbridge College remains unavailable, the Mystics will be trying to rise above the occasion and keep in touch with the top four if they can secure an eleventh win of the season.
