WNBL1 Preview: Week 19 (6/7 March 2021) - live streams, stats and more

There's a trio of games to enjoy in week 19 as the WNBL continues to move swiftly along in the second half of the season.

Reading host Nottingham and Loughborough head to Worcester in Saturday's action, and Sunday's lone contest sees Thames Valley entertain Solent.

We take a look at all three games below, with links to live stats and live streams at the bottom of the page.

Worcester Wolves (4-4) v Loughborough Riders (7-3)

Second place Loughborough Riders will try to keep pace with leaders Ipswich tomorrow as they head to Worcester to face the Wolves.

82-67 winners when these sides last met in Loughborough, Worcester are in the midst of a three-game losing streak that they'd love to snap as soon as possible.

Loughborough are 6-1 since that OT defeat to the Wolves, a much improved side that has hit their stride thanks to strong performances from Makana Stone, Katie Januszewska, Robyn Ainge and Molly James.

Stone still ranks in the league's top 10 for points, efficiency and rebounds, she's bound to be heavily involved in the action once again.

For the Wolves, Carolina Marques enjoyed a 29 point performance last weekend, though it couldn't prevent her side losing 91-73 to Reading.

Elsewhere this weekend

The week 19 schedule begins with Nottingham Trent University's (3-5) trip to Reading Rockets (3-4).

After starting the season 3-1, NTU are now 0-4 and struggling to regain their early momentum. Reading on the other hand have won two of their last three, including last weekend's 91-73 victory over Worcester.

A 71-66 win over tomorrow's opponents in late November was Trent's last D1W win, the Midlands outfit would no doubt love to do the double here and pick up a much needed W.

Sunday's only action sees Thames Valley Cavaliers (2-3) host Team Solent Kestrels (5-3).

The Cavs began 2021 in fine form, beating Worcester and Nottingham before coming unstuck against Ipswich last weekend.

They'll be looking to bounce back against a Solent side that has won three in a row and can call upon the likes of Krisztina Velkey (league #4 efficiency, #10 PPG) and Faye Endean (#6 efficiency, #2 steals).
