England Talent Programme 2023 events schedule set for U14s and U15s

Basketball England’s 2023 schedule for the England Talent Programme is set. 

England U14 and 15 Boys and Girls squads will take part in a range of activity in spring and summer of next year at home and abroad. 

The ETP is designed to provide players and coaches with opportunities train together and compete against and learn from other nations. 

The aim is to expose English talent to different playing styles and conditions prior to potential Great Britain selection.  

Basketball England Head of Talent and Performance Steve Bucknall said: 

“Building on the activity we undertook last year, our latest cohorts of talented U14 and U15 players with have to opportunity to develop in a range of competitive and practice situations. 

“Our aim is to identify, test and improve these youngsters so the best of them can push on further the represent GB in European competition.”

U14 Boys and Girls 
  • Wed 29 Mar & Sun 2 April: Player Screening, Manchester 
  • Mon 3 Apr-Wed 5 Apr: Manchester Selection Camp 
  • Mon 10 Apr-Fri 14 Apr: Globasket tournament, Costa Brava, Spain 
  • Fri 26 May-Sun 28 May: Tri-Nations Tournament, Dundee Scotland 
  • Thurs 1 Jun-Sun 4 Jun: Serbia (camp and games) 
U15 Boys and Girls 
  • Wed 29 Mar & Sun 2 April: Player Screening, Manchester 
  • Mon 3 Apr-Wed 5 Apr: Manchester Selection Camp 
  • Fri 7 Apr - Mon 10 Apr: Lions Cup, Paris (U15 Boys only)
  • Mon 10 Apr-Fri 14 Apr: Globasket Tournament, Costa Brava, Spain 
  • Mon 29 May-Thu 1 Jun: Serbia (camp and games) 

Players will primarily be referred for selection through their involvement in the Aspire Programme as part of Basketball England’s Talent Pathway. Selected players will be sent invites in March.
