  • Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered)

Other players will also receive a shout out as honourable mentions as well.

EABL

With North leaders Charnwood done until 2024, Myerscough had the opportunity to draw level at the top this week and did just that thanks to a 96-65 victory over Derby.

With games in hand that could take them up into the mix for top spot, only the Trailblazers lack of action was keeping them out of the title conversation going into Wednesday's clash in 'Sco.

Tyrese Lacey put a dent in those hopes though with a stunning outing that earned him Player of the Week honours.

Lacey was highly efficient throughout the contest, sinking 7/8 shots that included a perfect 5/5 from 2pt range. Eight assists and six steals also demonstrated a two-way playmaking presence, leading all players in both categories.

A final efficiency rating of 31 was the highest of the week across the league, providing yet another tick against the GB man's credentials for this week.

Speaking about the performance, Lacey said: "This week was a very good overall team performance, there was a lot of contributions from the bench as well as high intensity defence which allowed us to play our type of basketball.

"It was a good win to end this half of the year, and we will be looking to carry this energy and intensity over to the following half of the season."

Myerscough head coach Troy Culley added: "Ty's all-round performances have been a key factor in our team's success this season. I'm really pleased that his hard work and consistency are being recognised with the Player of the Week award.

"It's a well-deserved accolade, and I'm excited to see how he continues to contribute and grow when we restart in the New Year."

WEABL

Charnwood have risen to the top of the North conference with a perfect 5-0 record and a major reason for that is the production of guard Erin Powell.

The Riders' talent was at it once again this week, dropping a stunning triple-double on Nottingham as Charnwood prevailed 69-56.

20 points came across 35:17 of action, adding 12 rebounds and 10 assists to a great afternoon's work.

Going a perfect 3-3 from the line and netting a triple on top of 7-15 from 2pt range, Powell closed with an efficiency of 28, displaying her impact in the single-digit win.

Speaking about the performance, Powell said: “The game started off rough but we managed to pull it back through hard work and defensive hustle. We played well as a team and our assist numbers as a group showed that.

"It’s great to receive the recognition and get another win, going 5-0 into the well-deserved Christmas break.”

Charnwood head coach Nick Moodey added: “It’s great to see Erin receive her third Player of the Week award this season after a fantastic triple-double performance against a competitive Nottingham team.

"Erin is really expanding her game and it is nice to see her become much more of a facilitator this season. We had 22 assists on 28 makes as a team in the game and sharing the ball is something we have really highlighted throughout the first part of the season.”
