England U16 and U18 squads, coaches & staff named for Four Nations Tournament

England U16 and U18 squads, coaches and staff have been announced for the Four Nations tournaments next month.

The U16s will travel to Dublin and the U18s to Cardiff to take on the other home countries and Ireland.

Cristina Stanciuca and Alexis Lewis will lead the U16 girls and boys respectively, while Lauren Milligan and Adam Davies are the respective head coaches of the U18 women and men.

The Four Nations matches will be an opportunity for players to stake their claims for selection for the U16 and U18 Great Britain teams, though other English players not selected for these tournaments will also be in the running when those squads are chosen.

Steve Bucknall, Basketball England Head of Talent and Performance, said:

“Congratulations to the players, coaches and staff selected and appointed for these tournaments. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to test themselves in an international environment and to use that to learn, develop and progress.

“These are ‘select’ squads, a good mix of players with potential who we want to look at in these conditions with one eye on assessing options ahead of GB selections. Having said that, we also want to go out and win and we are looking forward to the challenge of taking on our neighbours on their own turf.”
