NBL1 Preview: Week 13 (23/24 January 2021) - live streams, stats and more

The last game week of January provides four Men's Division One games, as well as the final L Lynch Trophy quarter-final clash.

There is a tasty South Coast derby as Worthing Thunder host Team Solent Kestrels, while Loughborough Riders and Bradford Dragons go head-to-head to book their place in the Lynch last four.

Worthing Thunder (2-4) v Team Solent Kestrels (5-0)

The South Coast rivals always excite when they meet in the NBL, but there isn't a tough challenge for Thunder to bounce back from Week 12's heavy defeat to Hemel Storm than a clash with the unbeaten Kestrels.Ā

The visitors secured two comfortable wins in their double-header a week ago in typical Solent fashion, first seeing off BA London Lions before cementing their place in the L Lynch Trophy semi-finals at the expense of Hemel.

You could argue Worthing should be wary of any of Solent's satrs, but Orlan Jackman'sĀ  23 points and Ian Smith's near triple-double (11P/12R/9A) make them the form players going into this weekend at least.

Leicester Warriors (0-7) v Hemel Storm (3-1)

A daunting prospect awaits the winless Warriors as Hemel come to town.Ā

Last week's Player of the Week, Greg Poleon, will again be looking to cook up a storm after his 33-point showing in Week 12 against Thunder.

If the task of keeping the forward quiet wasn't difficult enough for the hosts, they also have fellow Team of the Week member Bode Adeluola to contend with.

Thames Valley Cavaliers (4-0) v BA London Lions (2-1)

The visitors are set for another tough challenge as they face the second of the division's only remaining unbeaten sides in as many weeks.

Cavaliers are ticking along nicely, as is Team of the Week inclusion Taylor Johnson, as he continues to pick up from where he left off last season.

Lions' Jase Harrison did post an impressive 24 points last week against the champions, so don't expect the hosts to have it all their own way.

Oaklands Wolves (2-5) v Bradford Dragons (3-1)

Wolves have a fantastic Week 12 to build on as they host Bradford Dragons on the back of their win over Warriors.

The performances of AJ Roberts and Jordan Santiago earned Wolves a double Team of the Week inclusion, with Santiago's highlights showing that they're flowing with confidence in the new year.

Dragons meanwhile will look to build momentum going into their Lynch quarter-final on Sunday.Ā
