Our Activator, Introduction to Coaching (Level 1) and Level 2 Club Coach courses are available to be organised.
Activators
An introductory-level qualification designed to empower participants with the skills, drills and basic technical knowledge to deliver recreational basketball.
Pre-requisites: None
Recommended minimum age: 14 years
Cost: £15 per candidate + recommended tutor fee of £25 per hour (plus travel @ 35p per mile)
Certification: Upon completion of the course, the candidate will receive an e-certificate
Introduction to Coaching (Level 1)
This course has been developed to provide learners with the confidence to deliver safe, fun and inclusive basketball sessions under the supervision of an independent coach. Previously, this was the level 1 coaching award.
Pre-requisite: None
Recommended minimum age: 16 years
Cost: £55 per candidate* + recommended tutor fee of £25 per hour (plus travel @ 35p per mile)
*Cost is reduced to £50 per candidate if the candidate is a licenced member
Certification: Upon completion of the course, the candidate will receive an e-certificate
Level 2 Club Coach
This is the standard level of coaching qualification for all club coaches at local level. The award gives a general overview of all aspects of basketball, and a basic introduction to sports coaching.
Pre-requisite: Coach Assistant (previously level 1) or experience of delivery of basketball coaching over the past 12/18 months
Recommended minimum age: 18 years
Cost: £72 per candidate* + recommended tutor fee of £25 per hour (plus travel @ 35p per mile)
*Cost is reduced to £65 per candidate if the candidate is a licenced member
Certification: Upon completion of the course, the candidate will receive an e-certificate
