Standout performances
In league play, Sheffield Arrows made a splash as they went to Manchester and handed Magic a first loss of the campaign, coming through as comfortable 82-57 winners.
Myerscough didn't falter at the top of the pool though, making it five-in-a-row as they beat defending league winners Worcester 71-60, and St Helens are also staying the course after they eased past Cardiff 85-61.
Gloucester City Kings remain in Pool A mix after they beat BCU 102-87, and Sheffield Sharks II came through against Liverpool to keep the Merseysiders winless, with a narrow 103-96 final.
Pool B's top spot still belong to Oaklands after they got the better of Richmond Knights 98-79, with Solent's 89-72 W against Sussex Storm keeping the Kestrels hot on the Wolves' heels.
Barnet are firmly in contention after their fourth win of the campaign, coming through 93-77 on the road in Greenwich, but last year's top-four finishers Barking lost out as they went down 61-57 against an increasingly competitive London Lions II.
At the other end of the table, Cobham are still trying to find a way back into contention after an 87-80 loss to CoLA pushed them to 0-5, and London Stars are also searching for a first win after coming out on the wrong end of a 108-70 score line against London Elite.
What does it mean for the standings?
Manchester's slip-up means St Helens and Myerscough are the remaining unbeaten teams in Pool A at 5-0, with Magic, Gloucester City and Sheffield Arrows all battling it out further back.
Oaklands sit at 5-0 atop Pool B with Solent at 4-0 close behind. Their first meeting of the season in mid-November will be highly anticipated, but there's plenty to enjoy elsewhere as Barnet, London Elite, London Lions II and Barking all sit within touching distance of the frontrunners.
NBL Division One Playoff Structure
Player-of-the-week candidates
Another outstanding game from Louis Rogerson-Evans (26pts, 9reb, 7ast, 2stl) couldn't stop Liverpool's slide as Mike Tuck (20pts, 9reb) rolled back to years to get Sheffield Sharks II a win.
CoLA's Kavell Hawes (23pts, 9reb, 4ast), Barnet's Vincent Monaghan (25pts, 10reb, 2ast, 3stl), BCU's Sam Toluwase (34pts, 5reb, 3ast, 3stl) and Gloucester City's Rhys Farrell (21pts, 6reb, 2ast) all enjoyed productive weekends, and Connor Murtagh (25pts, 7/18 3PTs) kept St Helens unbeaten against Takeshi Croke's (19pts, 11ast) Cardiff Met Archers.
Porter Kelly (27pts, 8reb, 2ast, 2stl) was the hero as the Arrows took down Magic, Andre Arissol (27pts, 5reb) was too much for Sussex, Danny Evans (24pts, 5reb, 6ast, 4stl) was the standout for Oaklands, and Malek John's 22-points helped the Lions past Barking Abbey.
Watch out for the winner on our social channels, with the announcement going live at 5pm on Monday evening.
NBL National Cup
Thirty two became 16 over the weekend as the latest round of action for the NBL National Cup played out.
Friday night's Yorkshire derby went the way of Sheffield Arrows as they narrowly beat Sheffield Sharks II 86-83 thanks to 24 points from Hamza Ibrahim, setting the scene perfectly for the remaining action on Sunday.
Defending champs Solent Kestrels were given a huge scare by Plymouth Raiders, squeezing through 77-76, with Pool B sides Oaklands Wolves (99-75 vs Ipswich), London Lions (86-79 vs CoLA), Barnet Bulldogs (90-76 vs London United) and Sussex Storm (90-74 vs Cobham) all joining them in the next round.
The same can't be said for Barking Abbey after they were upset by Worthing Thunder & Bears 81-72, and Greenwich Titans also crashed out against D2 opposition as they were beaten 70-65 by East London Phoenix.
The Pool A contingent in the last 16 includes BCU after they knocked off Leicester Warriors 76-69, plus Manchester Magic (82-59 vs Liverpool), Tees Valley Mohawks (89-71 vs West Yorkshire Hawks), Gloucester City Kings (67-63 vs Cardiff Met Archers), plus St Helens Saints as they won the highly-anticipated top of Pool A clash against Myerscough 81-50.
