Standout performances
Worcester went toe-to-toe with leaders Barking and a late Eri Bukoye triple with 36 ticks remaining gave the visitors a chance at a statement win, only for Sytira Smith and BA to hang on for a 57-54 victory.
ARU kept pace at the top with a win of their own, seeing off London All Stars 87-72, and defending regular-season champs London Cavaliers used a 22-9 opening frame to put another dent in CoLA's season, with a 60-42 final score.
Ipswich remained unbeaten as they handed a third loss in a row to Milton Keynes, taking all four quarters to come out on top 90-53.
In Sunday's action, Manchester got into the win column as they halted East London Phoenix's early season progress, dealing them a maiden loss 81-58, but there was no similar luck for Bristol as they remain D1W's lone winless side, sliding to a fourth defeat in a row as they went down 54-31 in Brent.
What does it mean for the standings?
Barking Abbey and Anglia Ruskin University remain the pace setters at 5-0, with London Cavaliers moving into third just behind the duo.
MK, Worcester, East London and Ipswich are all jostling further behind, but the Bobcats hold the advantage of being undefeated at 2-0.
WNBL Division One Playoff Structure
Player-of-the-week candidates
Ciani Montgomery (25pts, 8reb, 4ast, 4stl) couldn't quite push Worcester past Sharliyah Sutherland (15pts, 8reb) and Sytira Smith (15pts, 7reb, 3stl) as BA topped Worcester, and Olivia Rangel (28pts, 4reb, 2ast, 3stl) was once again the standout as ARU beat Kat Goldsby's (29pts, 9reb, 3ast, 2stl) London All Stars.
Sixteen points and 10 boards from Yassin Belle-Mbaye were a big plus in London Cavaliers' low-scoring win over CoLA, and Harriet Welham (28pts, 12reb, 6ast) remains in red-hot form for Ipswich.
Carina Costa (14pts, 10reb, 4ast, 5stl) and Georgia Perdomo (18pts, 2reb, 3ast, 2blk) combined well to get Manchester their first win of the season, seeing off Noelle Mannen (16pts, 9reb, 5ast, 4stl) and East London Phoenix.
Watch out for the winner on our social channels, with the announcement going live at 6pm on Monday evening.
