How the CMG supports Safeguarding
The purpose of the case management group is to offer advice and to support the safeguarding team with the management of concerns.
A Case Management Group (CMG) is responsible for ensuring that all allegations, incidents, or referrals related to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk are dealt with fairly and equitably within appropriate timescales.
This includes criminal records disclosure (DBS) information being considered and decided on a consistent and equitable basis.
The exact membership of BE's CMG has been appointed through a transparent recruitment process with the aim to recruit people with backgrounds in safeguarding, child protection and adults at risk.
Members appointed to the group will have an experience and knowledge of multi-agency safeguarding, knowledge of legislation and guidance on safeguarding issues and have worked or volunteered in a safeguarding role or within statutory agencies.
