Basketball England's 10 regions and their management committees
Basketball England's activity is supported by 10 regions which help administer the sport.
Each of them has a Regional Management Committee (RMC), made up of volunteers who have a passion for basketball.
Members are elected or appointed and their drive and expertise helps develop the sport for all in a range of areas - clubs, officiating, coaching, women and girls provision and competition.
The RMCs work with local leagues and area associations to deliver and develop the sport across the regions. They also contribute to the national discussion and direction that Basketball England takes in its strategy.

Development grant
The Regions also help administer the Basketball England Development Grant, which is available to affiliated Local Leagues, Area Associations and Clubs to apply for funding to help basketball develop across their area.
The Development Grant is aimed n the main at developing the sport in the below areas:
- More people playing the sport (participation)
- More competitive opportunities
- Increased coaching workforce
- Increased officiating workforce in the forms of referees, table officials and statisticians
- Increase in participation from specific groups of the community (girls/females, disabled)
In order to be able to apply for funding from the Development Grant, you will need to submit the Local to Regional Funding Application and send it to the Chair of your Region (see email addresses above). This is to be completed before the start of the season. The fund can be applied throughout the season on an ad-hoc basis - please contact your Regional Chair before applying during the season.
