NBL and WNBL Players of the Week - (10/11 Oct 2026)
The latest instalment of NBL action provided one of the most impressive Team of the Week line ups in recent memory.
Chosen from across the weekend's games by the BE team, you can have your say on this week's selections and give a shout-out to the players you think deserve one using our social media channels.
How it works
Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both D1W and D1M, paying attention to the following criteria:
- Efficiency
- Stats
- Team and opposition strength
- Periods of influence in the game
- Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)
Players of the Week

No player in D1W could outscore Harriet Welham this weekend as the Ipswich star produced a mighty stat line against old rivals CoLA, whilst Tom Ward's triple-double in Sussex's OT thriller got him the nod in D1M.
Ipswich have had a delayed start to the season after home venue issues but the Bobcats wasted no time in getting a title charge underway as they beat CoLA Southwark Pride 81-48.
A league win at CoLA for any side has been a rare feat indeed in recent seasons, but Welham's 34-point, 12-rebound double-double laid the foundations for what would be a statement early win.
Storm's Tom Ward may have had the benefit of three OT sessions to help secure his stat line this week, but that shouldn't diminish from his ridiculous numbers in Sussex's 124-123 W over Greenwich.
With 49:02 of court time, Ward provided a handy 19 points to go with 20 rebounds and 10 assists, both of which were game-highs.
On the defensive end, the talented shooter provided seven steals, half of his team's total, as Storm just edged an NBL classic.
D1W Team of the Week

Harriet Welham - Endeavour Ipswich Bobcats (34pts, 12reb, 5ast, 4stl, 2blk, 38eff)
Olivia Rangel - Anglia Ruskin University (28pts, 7reb, 3ast, 6stl, 23eff)
Ciani Montgomery - Worcester Wolves (13pts, 14reb, 7ast, 3stl, 23eff)
Nikita Cornford - Endeavour Ipswich Bobcats (22pts, 12reb, 3stl, 2blk, 25eff)
Kat Goldsby - London All Stars (26pts, 8reb, 8ast, 5stl, 31eff)
POTW Welham automatically slots into the TOTW and is joined by 16-year-old team mate Nikita Cornford after she impressed in her D1W debut against CoLA with a solid double-double.
Olivia Rangel moves into the TOTW after back-to-back POTW nods, but her outing for ARU against Brent was still well worthy of recognition.
Ciani Montgomery won a hard-fought race for which Worcester standout would feature this week, with the American's 13-point, 14-rebound, seven-assist effort just pipping the scoring exploits of Megan Verbeeten.
London All Stars' Kat Goldsby finishes off this week's line up despite a defeat against the Wolves, putting together a near triple-double in the 71-63 loss.
Honourable mentions
Noelle Mannen - East London Phoenix (23pts, 7reb, 4ast, 6stl, 22eff)
Sante Moonie - Brent Bulls (14pts, 18reb, 6ast, 25eff)
Georgia Perdomo - Manchester Mystics (23pts, 2reb, 15eff)
Megan Verbeeten - Worcester Wolves (22pts, 3reb, 2ast, 13eff)
Zuri Mullings - London Cavaliers (14pts, 7reb, 3stl, 22eff)
D1M Team of the Week

Tom Ward - Sussex Storm (19pts, 20reb, 10ast, 7stl, 2blk, 42eff)
Sam Toluwase - Birmingham City University (42pts, 7reb, 3ast, 2stl, 39eff, 5/13 3PTs)
Hamza Ibrahim - Sheffield Arrows (26pts, 12reb, 9ast, 2stl, 38eff)
Dan Davies - Manchester Magic (11pts, 15reb, 5ast, 3stl, 4blk, 30eff)
Matthew Bryan-Amaning - Greenwich Titans (25pts, 12reb, 3ast, 2stl, 3blk, 35eff)
A wild weekend of NBL action saw an incredible three players put up 30+ efficiency performances and somehow still miss the Team of the Week.
POTW Ward's statline speaks for itself, but it means somehow BCU's Sam Toluwase's 42-point outing against Liverpool doesn't result in a Player of the Week performance.
Similarly, last season's Pool A Player of the Season contender Hamza Ibrahim had a 38eff game, one dime from a triple-double, and still only earns a TOTW nod as the Arrows beat Tees Valley.
Last time out Manchester' Dan Davies was the D1M Player of the Week but his 11-point, 15-board double-double, adding in seven stops, isn't enough to get him back-to-back honours.
The five is rounded out by a lucky loser in Greenwich's Matthew Bryan-Amaning, who like POTW Ward took advantage of a the OT periods to put up a sizable double-double of his own.
Honourable mentions
Porter Kelly - Sheffield Arrows (27pts, 6reb, 4ast, 3stl, 34eff)
Louis Rogerson-Evans - Liverpool (19pts, 8reb, 14ast, 32eff)
Tyler Fairbairn - London Elite (27pts, 12reb, 2ast, 3stl, 2blk, 32eff)
Emmanuel Yeboah - Birmingham City University (23pts, 6reb, 3ast, 4blk, 26eff)
Matthew Disu - Oaklands Wolves (18pts, 10reb, 4ast, 28eff)
