    How it works

Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both D1W and D1M, paying attention to the following criteria:

    • Efficiency
    • Stats
    • Team and opposition strength
    • Periods of influence in the game
    • Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)

    Players of the Week

Ipswich's Harriet Welham goes back-to-back after another strong outing in D1W, and Sheffield Arrows' Porter Kelly goes from last week's honourable mentions to this week's top dog as he takes the D1M award.

Welham took advantage of a stuttering Milton Keynes side that have now lost three in a row, enjoying a game-high 28 points, a team-high 12 rebounds, and Ipswich's second-best mark for assists with six, one behind guard Angel Whyte's seven.

With 12 of her points total coming from four made triples, Welham also had the game's best +/- at +42 for yet another huge performance to add to her collection.

Kelly played a key role in Sheffield Arrows handing unbeaten Manchester Magic a first loss of the season, at home no less, as he brought his A-game this weekend.

No player could top his 27 points, with the next closest challenger on either side netting 16, and his +/- of +30 couldn't be beaten, either.

Eight rebounds, two assists and two steals provided further value, and handed Manchester a rare home defeat in the process.

    D1W Team of the Week

    Harriet Welham - Endeavour Ipswich Bobcats (28pts, 12reb, 6ast, 36eff)

    Carina Costa - Manchester Mystics (14pts, 10reb, 4ast, 5stl, 18eff)

    Kat Goldsby - London All Stars (29pts, 9reb, 3ast, 2stl, 28eff)

    Olivia Rangel - Anglia Ruskin University (28pts, 4reb, 2ast, 3stl, 27eff)

    Ciani Montgomery - Worcester Wolves (25ptsm 8reb, 4ast, 4stl, 29eff)

POTW Welham is joined by a strong supporting cast for another standout Team of the Week.

Carina Costa helped Manchester pick up their first win of the season with a 14/10 double-double that includes four dimes and five steals, and Anglia Ruskin's Olivia Rangel continued her impressive form to keep ARU undefeated on the young campaign.

Both London All Stars' Kat Goldsby and Worcester's Ciani Montgomery posed the age-old question this weekend of performance vs success as neither managed to pick up a win whilst the duo posted some of the strongest numbers from across D1W.

Ultimately their impact proved too impressive to ignore, even if they couldn't push their respective outfits to a win.

    Honourable mentions

    Georgia Perdomo - Manchester Mystics (18pts, 2reb, 3ast, 2blk, 15eff)
    Noelle Mannen - East London Phoenix (16pts, 9reb, 5ast, 4stl, 17eff)
    Katie Bennett - Endeavour Ipswich Bobcats (13pts, 7reb, 8stl, 21eff)
    Kaiya Bateman - Anglia Ruskin University (18pts, 5reb, 3ast, 2stl, 23eff)
    Sytira Smith - Barking Abbey (15pts, 7reb, 3stl, 17eff)

    D1M Team of the Week

    Porter Kelly - Sheffield Arrows (27pts, 8reb, 2ast, 2stl, 27eff)

    Vincent Monaghan - Barnet Bulldogs (25pts, 10reb, 2ast, 3stl, 34eff)

    Rhys Farrell - Gloucester City Kings (21pts, 6rev, 2ast, 25eff, 5/7 3PTs)

    Andre Arissol - Solent Kestrels (27pts, 5reb, 26eff)

    Louis Rogerson-Evans - Liverpool (26pts, 9reb, 7ast, 2stl, 36eff)

POTW Kelly slots into the TOTW, and he's joined by some serious stat-lines from another fine weekend of D1M action.

Barnet's Wonder from Down Under, Vincent Monaghan, continues to enjoy a fine debut NBL season and the Victoria native was at it again this weekend as the Bulldogs downed Greenwich 93-77.

Rhys Farrell starred off the Gloucester City bench with 21 points, nailing five triples in the process, as the Kings went to BCU and snagged a road win to the keep their early-season momentum alive despite another huge day from Sam Toluwase.

Andre Arissol's game-high 27 points for Solent against Sussex Storm made a big enough impact to get the Kestrels' captain the nod, but a shoutout should go to team mate Stelios Christofi as the 18-year-old shot 8/9 off the bench for an 18-point, nine-rebound cameo in just 18:12 of action.

This week's five, like the D1W selection, contains a player who couldn't secure a win but produced stats that couldn't be overlooked as Liverpool's Louis Rogerson-Evans makes the cut for his near triple-double in the 103-96 loss to Sheffield Sharks II.

    Honourable mentions

    Danny Evans - Oaklands Wolves (24pts, 5reb, 6ast, 4stl, 26eff)
    Stelios Christofi - Solent Kestrels (18pts, 9reb, 2ast, 2stl, 27eff)
    Takeshi Croke - Cardiff Met Archers (19pts, 4reb, 11ast, 2stl, 27eff)
    Samuel Toluwase - Birmingham City University (34pts, 5reb, 3ast, 3stl, 30eff)
    Connor Murtagh - St Helens Saints (25pts, 4ast, 5stl, 20eff, 7/18 3PTs)
    Mike Tuck - Sheffield Sharks II (20pts, 9reb, 2ast, 26eff)
