Birmingham City University picked up two wins this weekend, including Friday night's Cup clash against Worcester (Evie Beardsley)

Standout performances

Joshua Mendes' double-double helped Barking Abbey sink local rivals CoLA Southwark Pride 72-61, with his 24 points and 10 rebounds keeping BA unbeaten.

Leicester Warriors flexed their offensive muscle to pile up a 113-82 victory against last weekend's 2OT heroes Liverpool, including a 37-22 fourth quarter to delight the Warriors' home fans.

29 points from Hamza Ibrahim helped Sheffield Arrows squeeze past Worcester Wolves 76-73, and London Lions II knocked off Richmond Knights 79-60 thanks to Dayvantia Campbell-Deeble's 16-point, 11-rebound double-double effort.

What does it mean for the standings?

Pool B leaders Barking Abbey (2-0) head up a four-way pack of Solent, London Lions II, Barnet and London Stars, who are all narrowly behind at 1-0.

Leicester Warriors and BCU lead the way in Pool A, and that could continue for a little while yet as the duo aren't set to meet until early December.

Manchester Magic and Myerscough Basketball Academy (1-0) are the pool's only other unbeaten sides.

NBL Division One Standings

Player-of-the-week candidates

With the amount of points scored in their clash vs Liverpool, it's no surprise for Leicester to have a number of candidates this week.

Callum Keys hit six triples on his way to 40 points, though team mate Diego Perez Tosca (28pts, 7reb, 30eff) hit five of his own and is also in the mix.

Arrows' Hamza Ibrahim (29pts, 15reb, 4ast, 33eff) was another in fine form, as was London Lions II's Dayvantia Campbell-Deeble (16pts, 11reb, 3ast, 2stl, 26eff).

Watch out for the winner on our social channels, with the announcement going live at 5pm on Monday evening.

NBL National Cup

The weekend's NBL National Cup action got underway on Friday night with a 75-57 victory for BCU over local rivals Worcester Wolves, with Sam Toluwase dropping 33 for the hosts.

Exeter Spartans progressed 85-46 against Cornwall Cougars in Saturday's only game, before the bulk of the action got underway on Sunday.

Liverpool bounced back from their D1M disappointment against Leicester with a solid 89-82 road win against Teesside Lions. Sheffield Arrows made their cross-Pennines trip worth it as they knocked off Stockport 100-73, and Manchester Magic grabbed bragging rights over neighbours Manchester Spartans, with a 92-46 score line.
