How it works

Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both D1M and D1W, paying attention to the following criteria:

  • Efficiency
  • Stats
  • Team and opposition strength
  • Periods of influence in the game
  • Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)

Players of the Week

Whilst Harriet Welham was a run-away winner in D1W, things were much harder to split in D1M.

After bagging nearly half of her team's total in Ipswich's 78-72 victory over Anglia Ruskin, Welham was nailed-on for POTW following a 38-point, 11-rebound, four-assist, four-steal outing, shooting 50% from the field and good for a eye-catching 39 efficiency rating.

Leicester's Chris Keys had some stiffer competition, and not just from amongst his own team-mates, as he claimed this week's top D1M honour.

Nobody could top his points total across the league, with 40 to his name in the 113-82 victory over Liverpool, adding six rebounds, three steals and dropping six triples as part of his excellent evening's work.

D1M Team of the Week

Callum Keys - Leicester Warriors (40pts, 6reb, 3ast, 33eff)

Hamza Ibrahim - Sheffield Arrows (29pts, 15reb, 4ast, 2stl, 33eff)

Diego Perez Tosca - Leicester Warriors (28pts, 7reb, 30eff)

Dayvantia Campbell-Deeble - London Lions II (16pts, 11reb, 3ast, 2stl, 26eff)

Joshua Mendes - Barking Abbey (24pts, 10reb, 25eff)

POTW Keys takes the opening spot in the five, and is joined by team-mate Diego Perez Tosca as the duo balled out in the Warriors' comfortable 113-82 victory over Liverpool.

Another standout from Pool A, Hamza Ibrahim, earns a place for his output in the Arrows' victory over Worcester, leaving the final two places for Pool B's best and brightest.

Dayvantia Campbell-Deeble was the main man in London Lions II's 79-60 W over Richmond Knights, and his double-double performance was mirrored by Barking's Joshua Mendes, who used 24 points and 10 boards to help down cross-town rivals CoLA 72-61.

Honourable mentions

Ashley Ugo - Leicester Warriors (10pts, 17reb, 6ast, 23eff)
Courtney Alexander - Sheffield Sharks II (21pts, 10reb, 2ast, 27eff)
Louis Rogerson-Evans - Liverpool (25pts, 6reb, 6ast, 26eff)

D1W Team of the Week

Harriet Welham - Endeavour Ipswich (38pts, 11reb, 4ast, 4stl, 39eff)

Ilaria Zaffaroni - Anglia Ruskin University (30pts, 8reb, 2ast, 2stl, 21eff)

Sammy Roscoe - Bristol Flyers (14pts, 12reb, 2ast, 4blk, 21eff)

Adaora Dioramma - CoLA Southwark Pride (12pts, 10reb, 3stl, 21eff)

Ayla Habbal - CoLA Southwark Pride (14pts, 9reb, 5ast, 2stl, 17eff)

Welham is an automatic choice, and her chief nemesis from the weekend, Anglia Ruskin's Ilaria Zaffaroni, also makes the grade for her 30-point outing in the 78-72 home win.

A pair of CoLA standouts also slot into the five, with forward Adaora Dioramma contributing a double-double and guard Ayla Habbal nearly doing the same as Pride rolled past London Cavaliers 60-54.

That just leaves Bristol forward Sammy Roscoe to round out this week's line-up, playing the full 40 and putting together a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double to go with an impressive four blocks against London All Stars.

Honourable mentions

Kaiya Bateman - Endeavour Ipswich (12pts, 8reb, 6ast, 2stl, 16eff)
Kat Goldsby - London All Stars (15pts, 4re, 3ast, 10stl, 16eff)
Durga Dharmadhikari - Bristol Flyers (9pts, 9reb, 4ast, 14eff)
