NBL D1 Preview (11/12 Oct 2025) - Live Stats, streaming, quotes and more

After the recent excitement of the NBL National Cup, all eyes are back on Division One for more league action.

Eleven games are crammed into the three days, with the highlight being a repeat of last season's D2 Playoff Final between Solent Kestrels and Barking Abbey, a game which can be watched live on the Basketball England YouTube channel.

In Pool A there's an impressive seven contests, including a Friday-night clash between Worcester Wolves and Cardiff Met Archers - which will also be streamed - whilst Myerscough and Oxford are both doubling up with games on Saturday and Sunday.

All teams across the NBL, WNBL and Jnr. NBL will have the opportunity to observe a minute's silence in respect for Lee Linton-Hodges after the well-respected and popular NBL player recently passed away.

Leicester currently sit joint top of Pool A (Teesside Lions)

Two unbeaten sides enter, only one can remain

NBL fans are in for a treat this weekend, with some much-anticipated clashes across the country.

In Pool A, 2-0 Leicester Warriors are on the road against 1-0 Manchester Magic. The Warriors have reigning Player of the Week Callum Keys at their disposal, with the visitors 97.0PPG in the early going.

Birmingham City University (2-0) are also unbeaten so far, and they host Myerscough Basketball Academy (1-0), who won their season opener against Cardiff Met Archers.

Spoiled for choice, there's two more unbeaten vs unbeaten contests in Pool B, starting with London Lions II hosting London Stars as both sides currently sit at 1-0.

On the South coast, there's the D2 Playoff Final rematch between Solent Kestrels (2-0) and Barking Abbey (1-0).

The duo played out some classics in 2024/25, with a pair of regular-season games being split to go with the playoff showdown in Manchester.

No doubt this latest instalment will add to that hype, with fans able to watch the contest using the embed below.

Trying to break a streak

Eyes will understandably be on the high-flying teams mentioned above, but others are fighting hard to put an end to less successful starts to the new campaign.

Cardiff Met Archers and Teesside Lions are the only 0-2 sides in Pool A and both will be desperate for a first victory of 2025/26. The Lions host Sheffield Arrows, whilst Cardiff head to Worcester tonight for a Friday night contest in the West Midlands.

Only Greenwich Titans sit at 0-2 in Pool B, though they'll have to wait to correct that trend with no game this weekend.
