Standout performances - Pool A
In Pool A, St Helens Saints continued to flex their muscles at the summit, toppling third-place Myerscough College 73-53 to move to 6-0.
The Saints raced clear after the first quarter, leading 21-7 and despite improvement from Myerscough, a 21-8 third period sealed the victory.
The defeat to St Helens capped a nightmare weekend on the road for Myerscough, as they fell 96-66 on Friday to the Sheffield Arrows, where a closely fought game broke open in the final quarter, with the Arrows outscoring their counterparts 33-9.
Keeping up with the Saints at the top of the table is Manchester Magic, who defeated the Leicester Warriors 87-63 in the East Midlands. The Magic, who have played a game more than the Saints and dropped one of them, breezed clear in the fourth period and shot a solid 50 per cent from the floor.
Also hanging around at the top are the Gloucester City Kings, who beat the Cardiff Met Archers 99-73 to improve to 4-1.
Sheffield Sharks grabbed an impressive 94-79 win at Birmingham City University, with Declan Kom leading the way with 19 points. Worcester Wolves overcame the Tees Valley Mohawks 80-70 for their third win of the season.
Pool B
In Pool B, the top two continued their unbeaten starts, as the Oaklands Wolves hit 12 three-pointers and outscored CoLA 50-13 in the second and third quarters to bag a 99-48 home win.
Solent Kestrels also continued to taste victory, beating the Greenwich Titans 73-64 away from home. For the Titans, it ended a mixed weekend, as the day before, they secured their first win of the season, beating Barking Abbey on the road 78-70.
Elsewhere, London Lions defeated the winless Cobham Cobras 76-64; Richmond Knights buried 12 threes en route to beating London Stars 87-70; and London Elite comfortably dispatched Sussex Storm 89-47 on the south coast.

What does it mean for the standings?
In Pool A, St Helens Saints maintain their lead at the top of the standings, but Manchester Magic and Gloucester City Kings are close behind.
Oaklands Wolves and Solent Kestrels continue to dominate Pool B, as an early two-horse race looks to be unfolding. However, London Elite’s dominant win in Crawley means they’re still in the running, even at this early stage of the campaign.
